Establishing stem cell differentiation protocols, particularly towards keratinocytes for skin regeneration; facilitating the differentiation and maturation of pluripotent stem cell-derived cells by the sophisticated design of novel chemical and mechanical properties of 2D/2.5D/3D materials; Exploring the natural/synthetic extracellular matrix molecule-cell interactions using atomic force microscopy (AFM)-based single-cell force spectroscopy (SCFS); measuring the strength of cell-matrix interactions at single-molecule levels; studying the role of cell-matrix interactions during tissue development and maintenance.
